Peter S Walton

Peter S Walton is retired and lives in the West Midlands, UK.    Peter began his career teaching in schools, then studied composition with Robert Saxton at the Guildhall School of Music and with Jonathan Harvey at Sussex University where he gained a MA in music composition and analysis.

For a few years he was a member of the West Square Electronic Music Ensemble under the leadership of Barry Anderson.

 

Later he changed direction and moved into computing, ending his career as a freelance IT consultant.

​

After a heart attack and major heart surgery in 2014 Peter returned to composition.    Several of these new pieces have been performed in USA, Canada,  Greece,  Poland  and  UK,  and a few have been recorded on to CD by the excellent flautist Iwona Glinka.
